چکیده
Background: Urinary tract infections (UTIs), which are among the most prevalent both in general population and health care facilities, ranked second only to upper espiratory terms of prevalence disease. Methodology: Samples for current investigation were gathered from severalprivate public hospitals. Based on colony morphology, these samples identified via Gramstaining biochemical analysis. Following CLSI 2019 standards, isolates nexttested antibiotic susceptibility using Kirby-disc Bauer's diffusion assay. Results: For presence Escherichia coli, 48(26.6%) 180 sample stested negative, while 132(73.3%) test edpositive. coli found be highly resistant ciprofloxacin, Amoxicillin-Clavulanic acid, Gentamicin, Ofloxacin, Piperacillin-Tazobactam, Meropenem, Imipenem, Tobramycin, Amikacin, andColistin, according antimicrobial pattern. Imepenem, meropenem, amikacin, gentamicin, amoxicillin-clavulanic cefixime, cefotaxime, cefoperazone all effective against isolates. Clinical Implication: The clinical implication study is isolate E.coli community-acquired UTI also enlighten resistance pattern regarding E. coli. Conclusion: Antimicrobial testing results should heeded when prescribing treatment urinary avoid possibility coli'sgrowingresistancetoseveralantimicrobialmedications. Detection of fim, pap, sfa and afa Adhesin-Encoding Operons in Escherichia coli Strains Isolated from Urinary Tract Infections
ABSTRACT Background and objectives: Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are one of the most common infectious diseases caused by bacteria. The primary etiologic agent of UTIs is Escherichia coli. Uropathogenic E.coli (UPEC) strains have a number of specific virulence factors, which can worsen UTIs. This study was performed to...

Abstract Background and Objective: Escherichia coli O157:H7 is one of the most well-known pathogenic bacteria worldwide that can develop severe diseases such as hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). This study aimed to assess the prevalence of virulence genes of E. coli O157:H7 in patients with suspected urinary tract infections (UTIs). Material and Methods: This cross-sectional study was co...

Introduction: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the most common infectious diseases, and Escherichia coli is known as the most dominant causative agent of this infection in 90-80% of patients. There is not much information about the phylogenetic groups, types, and virulence factors of E. coli, causing UTIs from Iran. The objective of this study was to evaluate the antimicrobial susceptibi...

urinary tract infections (utis) are significant health problem, with escherichia coli as the primary pathogen in proximally 80% of cases. the adhesion of e coli to the host cell can be influenced by cell surface hydrophobicity (csh) and is an important factor for the development of infections. this study was conducted to find the relation between csh and one of the adhesions (mannose resistant ...
متن کاملEscherichia coli isolated from urinary infections
Most infections of the kidneys and bladder are caused by organisms that have reached these organs by ascending the lumen of the urinary tract (Brumfitt and Percival, 1964). Initially most of the bacteria will be present in the urine and will be washed away when it is passed, but any that are attached to the mucosal surface will be more likely to remain behind and it is these that might be expec...
